Sea to Summit designs and builds gear that is meant to be put to the test, wherever your adventures take you. We guarantee our products against defects in materials or workmanship for the lifetime of the product.
The Sea to Summit Guarantee is our promise to guarantee our products against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship for the lifetime of the product. We choose the highest quality materials, build to the most exacting manufacturing standards, and rigorously test our products so we can deliver on this promise.
We offer this lifetime warranty to the original owner, with proof of purchase from an authorised Sea to Summit reseller, for the intended life of the product under normal use. The only exception to the Sea to Summit Guarantee is for products which are intended for use in situations which result in higher rates of wear and tear, which is why they have a limited warranty duration. In these cases, the duration of the warranty is clearly marked on the packaging and on our website.
Our warranty policy provides you with benefits in addition to the rights you have at law, including under the Australian Consumer Law because your satisfaction is very important to us. If you encounter a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship with any Product purchased through our website then subject to an assessment by us, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement product, exchange or refund of the purchase price.
You can also return an item purchased on this website for assessment if you believe it is defective, faulty or not fit for the purpose advertised.
The Sea to Summit Lifetime Guarantee does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, excessive use, accidental damage, alteration or modifications to the Product, combat damage, improper care or cleaning, neglect, non-standard usage, or negligence.
In addition, our warranty does not cover damage to personal items stored in or used in conjunction with our products. Warranty decisions are the discretion of the Warranty and Returns Department. Except in jurisdictions where the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damage is not allowed, then Sea to Summit will not, under any circumstances, be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential damages resulting from a warranty claim, and in no event will Sea to Summit’s aggregate liability exceed the price paid for the product.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
These are called “Consumer Guarantees” and cannot be excluded. Consumer Guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law are not limited by a defined time period and can vary from product to product depending on factors such as the nature of goods, price and statements made on packaging and product labels.
If you have a Product with a major problem (for example, it is unsafe, is significantly different from the sample or description), then you are entitled to a refund or replacement if the problem is a major problem. If it is a minor problem, then we can offer you a free repair within a reasonable time.
Where an item is damaged through misuse, neglect or abnormal use, we will not provide a refund, exchange or repair.

Sea to Summit places a high priority on consumer safety. Sea to Summit voluntarily recalled the Alpha and Sigma Pots with the black Nylon latch. Consumers should immediately stop using the affected products and contact Sea to Summit for a replacement latch.
Only the Alpha and Sigma pots with the black Nylon latch which does NOT contain a screw as shown above (sold individually and as part of pot sets and cook sets) are subject to the recall. Please see photos and descriptions above to assist you in identifying whether you have an affected product.
To prevent possible injuries to our customers, Sea to Summit has elected to implement this voluntary recall. Consumers should immediately stop using the affected products and contact Sea to Summit for a replacement latch.
Sea to Summit is conducting this voluntary recall because Sea to Summit became aware that under certain conditions, the black Nylon latch may open, which may render the pot unusable for cooking and present a hazard. The black Nylon latch is intended as a secondary reinforcement to keep the handle in its locked position. When the black Nylon latch opens, it has the potential to present an injury hazard when pouring from the pot. Specifically, the black Nylon latch may open when pouring to the right using your left hand.
Yes. Please contact Sea to Summit using the form above. Sea to Summit will send you a replacement latch (at no cost to you) with a set of simple instructions. This is the most efficient way of resolving the problem so that you are safe and can use the pot on your next trip.
The recall procedure is the same for products purchased online, from retailers, or directly from Sea to Summit. Please contact Sea to Summit using the form above or via the email and phone contacts provided below. We will send you a replacement latch (at no cost to you) with a set of simple instructions. This is the most efficient way of resolving the problem so that you are safe and can use the pot on your next trip.
Even though your product may appear to be safe, the black Nylon latch may still open under certain conditions, which may render the pots unusable for cooking and present an injury hazard when pouring from the pot. Please contact Sea to Summit using the above form or via the email and phone contacts provided below.
The handle may not lock securely to the body of the pot making it unusable for cooking and present an injury hazard when pouring from the pot. Consumers should immediately stop using the affected pots and contact Sea to Summit for a replacement latch.
If your Alpha/Sigma pot has a different latch to the black Nylon latch shown above, you can continue to use your Alpha/Sigma pot. Please see above photos to differentiate between the different latches used on the Alpha/Sigma pots.
The replacement latch wraps around the handle and is affixed with a screw. It has also been designed to provide a tighter fit around the handle to keep the handle in the locked “open” position. The replacement latch is also used on the most recent range of the Alpha and Sigma pots.
The replacement latch has been designed for a tighter fit around the handle to keep the handle in the locked “open” position. It may feel tighter to open and close but that has been designed to keep you safe when you are cooking in the field.
