Please know that once a fabric has been laminated, there is no way to recycle it (it’s impossible to separate the nylon fabric from the urethane inner barrier).
Some people have used decommissioned sleeping mats as waterproof ‘groundsheets’. A colleague of mine kept one as a protective layer for use when laying on the ground working underneath his car.
If a ‘second life’ use like this is not appropriate, I’m afraid there is no other course of action other than throwing the mat away.
